I’d originally been planning to record chapters 7 through 9 for this show, but on reflection, Chapters 9 and 10 really should be put together. 10 may be a very long chapter, but 9 is similar in that they are the two chapters that go back and explain everything from the book. So until we meet again in two weeks, I’ll suggest that you check out Leonard Wolf’s annotated edition of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It’s full of all sorts of excellent material for your consideration, as well as some of the cultural bits that get lost… for example, what the devil is a knife-boy?
Oh yes! Pay a visit to my friends over at www.horroretc.com – they’re about to host their 150th show, making me look like a complete slacker by comparison, and they deserve all the kudos for it!
